
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has continued to demonstrate his unwavering commitment to improving education across Abia North Senatorial District with the distribution of educational materials to primary and secondary schools in Isuikwuato Local Government Area. The intervention, carried out on his behalf by his Legislative Assistant for Isuikwuato LGA, Barr. Max Nwokenta, is part of the senator’s ongoing education support programme aimed at enhancing teaching and learning across the constituency.
The educational materials distributed included school bags, textbooks and exercise books for pupils and students in beneficiary schools. The exercise also reflects Senator Kalu’s sustained investment in the education sector, which has seen the renovation of numerous school facilities across Isuikwuato and other parts of Abia North. He reaffirmed that no Local Government Area within Abia North Senatorial District will be left out of his educational intervention programme as more schools are scheduled to benefit in the coming weeks.
The schools visited during the distribution exercise were Umuobiala Community Model Primary School, Eluama Community Primary School, Eluama Secondary School, Amaibo Community Secondary Technical School, Umunnekwu Agbo Community Secondary School, Central Oguduasa Secondary School, International Secondary School, Abia State University, Uturu, and Uturu Secondary School, Uturu.
Principals, head-teachers, teachers and other members of staff expressed deep appreciation to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for his consistent support for education. They described the intervention as timely and impactful, noting that the learning materials would greatly improve teaching and learning in their respective schools. They also offered prayers for the senator, asking God to continue to strengthen and bless him for remembering the educational needs of the younger generation.
Unarguably, Senator Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has remained one of the leading advocates of quality education in Abia North and beyond, through the provision of learning materials, scholarships, school renovations and other educational interventions.
With the programme set to continue, more schools across the remaining communities in Abia North are expected to benefit, further reinforcing his commitment to ensuring that every child has access to the tools needed for academic excellence.
