The concerned Umunneochi Youth Forum has publicly dismissed as “baseless and entirely misleading” viral reports that school materials donated by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu were rejected in the Local Government Area.
In a strongly worded statement issued over the weekend in Eziama, Nneato, the forum affirmed that over 400 brand new desks, uniforms, and other learning materials were successfully delivered and warmly received across 12 schools in Umunneochi.
“No rejection whatsoever took place,” the group declared. “On the contrary, the educational intervention was successfully distributed and was warmly received by school authorities, pupils, community members, and youths.”
The forum listed the benefiting schools, including Leru Central School, Lomara Central School, Amuda Town Primary School, Mbala Primary School, Eziama Secondary School, and St. Columbus Primary School, among others, in what it described as a transparent effort to set the record straight.
The youth body further praised the former Abia governor and current Chairman Senate Committee on Southeast Development Commission for his sustained commitment to grassroots development and quality education in Abia North.
“We caution against the spread of unverified claims capable of misrepresenting our communities and undermining genuine developmental efforts,” the statement added.
The forum reaffirmed its commitment to truth and constructive partnership with leaders driving sustainable development in the region.
”Kalu as a representative of the people has done exceedingly well for Abia North and precisely Umunneochi and has every right to seek re-election and we will deliver him in our various polling units” the group added.
