The Ohafia Local Government Area chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a strong condemnation of a recent attack on the district’s distinguished Senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, allegedly perpetrated by certain youths in the region.
In a communique released to the press, the party expressed its unwavering solidarity with the former Governor of Abia State, describing the incident as unwarranted and detrimental to the region’s progress.
The party leadership lauded Senator Kalu’s track record, highlighting his immense contributions to the growth and development of Abia North and the state at large. According to the statement, the Senator’s leadership has consistently demonstrated a commitment to the welfare of his constituents, making the attack not only regrettable but also an affront to the collective strides achieved under his guidance.
“Senator Kalu’s leadership has consistently demonstrated commitment to the people, and such attacks are not only unwarranted but also undermining the progress we have collectively made,” the statement read.
The APC in Ohafia cautioned those involved in the act to desist from being used as pawns by desperate politicians seeking to sow division and chaos for selfish gains. The party expressed confidence in the wisdom of the people of Ohafia and Abia North, asserting that they would not be swayed by forces attempting to disrupt the hard-earned peace and unity in the area.
Reaffirming the party’s dominance in the region, the APC declared that Abia North remains a stronghold of the party. The leadership expressed optimism about the future, citing the combined visionary leadership of Senator Kalu and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a catalyst for greater progress.
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the chapter made a bold pledge: “Come 2027, Ohafia will proudly deliver overwhelming support for Tinubu and Senator Kalu, ensuring that our region continues on its path of prosperity and development.”
The party concluded by urging all stakeholders and residents to remain united and focused on the future, resisting any attempts to derail the developmental trajectory of the region.
