
The Former Governor of Abia State (1999-2007), Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has been strongly commended by an erudite scholar, Professor Damian Okeke for speaking courageously on National television on the impact of Nnamdi Kanu’s agitation on Southeast development.
Prof Okeke applauded the Kalu who’s the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District for speaking boldly in defense of the innocent people who lost their lives and properties as a result of IPOB’s cruel and unjustified attacks.
”I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for your recent interview with Seun on Channels TV. Your courageous words about the Nnamdi Kanu agitation and its impact on the people of the East resonated deeply with many Nigerians.
”Your bravery in speaking out against the violence and destruction caused by the agitation is commendable. It’s refreshing to hear a leader acknowledge the pain and suffering of innocent civilians, and I applaud you for using your platform to shed light on this critical issue.” Prof. Okeke said.
Prof Okeke stated that what Kalu said on the Channel’s tv program were pure facts and these damages were as a result of the misguidance of Nnamdi Kanu. The academician called on rational and well meaning Nigerians, specifically from southeast to join hands to find ways to bring this insecurity to a halt.
”Your statement that “Nnamdi Kanu’s agitation has destroyed people and their livelihoods in the East” is a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of violence and unrest. It’s heartbreaking to hear that many Easterners have lost their lives, and I join you in condemning these senseless acts.” Prof Okeke noted.
Prof. Okeke further praised Kalu for suggesting the need to restore peace in the southeast and bring the geopolitical zone back to business and commerce that it is known for.
Prof Okeke opined that Kalu’s leadership is one with purpose, courage and bravery which has inspired quite millions. Prof. Okeke also established that Kalu spoke the mind of the majority of Ndi Igbo by speaking truth to power, while demanding for what is right for the welfare of his constituents
